About FAITH

“FAITH” is an English word that means trust, credit, belief, confidence, conviction, surety and faith.
Mother Teresa said:

Love is doing small things with great love.
Believing in the possibility of children, we support “small things” that we can do with “great love” for homeless children living on the streets in poverty areas and for those who have been sent to orphanages for economic reasons.
We named this organization “FAITH” based on our “belief” in the future of children.

【The purpose of FAITH as described in the Articles of Association】
Article 3
This corporation aims to contribute to the development of the Republic of the Philippines by collecting and providing information on the street children in the Republic of the Philippines, through activities of putting people on the job, disseminating education and local volunteer activities in the Philippines.

● About the logo mark
FAITHロゴ
The FAITH logo was designed based on our desire that “children are growing up in good health under the roof”.
Also, “學” as the old form of a Chinese character “学”, which is said to have been created from “the image of a teacher pulling up a child under the roof of school building with both hands”.
Based on this origin, the image of pulling up children has been incorporated in the FAITH logo.

“Human Development” Project

We are contractors who are engaged in construction-related businesses in the areas around Hachioji, Tokyo.
Since 2015, we have been accepting technical intern trainees from the Philippines playing a part in the international contribution by imparting the skills of Japan to them. It was when we visited the Philippines for recruitment interviews with candidates of technical intern trainees, that we first learned about the real situation of the Philippines.
In the Philippines, children were living in a different environment from the one in Japan. Children of very young ages were begging, collecting waste, selling flowers. Not a few children were earning money from criminal acts such as prostitution and theft. We saw many children buying drugs or thinners with such money to forget the hard days they had been through.

We decided to bring cardboard boxes full of breads and sweets from Japan every time we visit the Philippines for work so that we could satisfy the hunger of children even for a moment. We divided these cardboard boxes among each of us to carry and visited impoverished areas to distribute them to the children However, we knew that this would not change the lives of children. We came to aware that to get them out of poverty, their way of life must be changed. What is necessary for it is the jobs that allows their fathers and mothers to earn decent money.

Many of us are specialized contractors working at construction sites and accepting many technical intern trainees from the Philippines.
We would like to help them being able to get a job where they can take advantage of the skills learned in Japan after returning to the Philippines. As a result, we believe that their children can live towards their dreams.

Trust each other and proceed step by step starting from the “human development” project.

Through these activities, we will continue to work to be an organization that is relied and trusted upon by everyone to be able to get support from you.
We look forward to your warm support.
